338 vs 384

So today im playing trials and a 338 somehow two shots me with a hawkmoon, regardless if he got the perk bonus theres a 40+ light difference. So what happened to light level advantage enabled?

  • That's because it's hardly noticeable. I played as 385/386 and it makes little difference. I've dropped me light to 250 light (before RoI) and I still killed as easily. I noticed a slight difference but not much.

  • I'm not sure what extent the light advantage is at, but I can tell you that when I play against people 25-30 light levels under me in trials, I can 1-shot body them with a Black Spindle-archtype sniper unless they have max armor or something.

    • What is it like a .1% difference per 10 light levels?

If it were me, I'd probably have emptied an entire clip into your face before you spit on my foot and *guardian down* And that's if I was at 384 light and you were at 338. And then the next game I'd go 20/2 because games make no sense.

So with your vast knowledge of light level advantage vs damage, show us noobs how it's mathematically impossible for this to happen. Since you're going to take the energy to say something, you may as well show how ridiculous it is by giving us an example of your own knowledge of this subject. I'm actually curious to hear all your previous damage tests and stats, from your certainty it seems like you've done a lot.

          • Yeah the light advantage thingy is messed up. It practically makes no difference because only idiots or incredibly good players would come in with light 100 or so below the average - and they'd lose and win anyway.

            • Hawkmoon can hit for 120 on a headshot with the perk, you have 200 health, so that would be 240 damage for two shots. Just so you know a 30 light level difference on MIDA made me hit people for 52 instead of 57 on a headshot, but it was still a 4 hit. A 40 light level difference would put the MIDA at 50 instead of 57, still a 4 hit weapon. Hawkmoon would do like 100 per headshot with the perk active at 40 light level difference, which would still make it a 2 hit if he got lucky.

                • Just because his overall light level was 338, doesn't mean his Hawkmoon wasn't 370.

Your opponent would still be doing roughly 92% Damage, light matters but not excessively until over a 50 point light difference where it then drops below 90% That and hawkmoons perk may have been in effect on both or either of the shots

Let's do some math lol Lvl advantages works like this, Your light :380 Opponents light :370 Hawkmoon Bullet damage at normal is 90 DMG, With Light lvl ON it does 89 because of the 10 light lvl difference. 20 light lvl difference = 88 and so on... Still I cant believe he two shot you
