Bungie likes to force players to change their playstyle from time to time. my main is infected but my alts arent going to be used until after roi drops.
if it has a negative impact, i'll be forced to main some other character.
just a thought.

I'm the opposite, having created a new titan to obtain khvostovs, my main will not be used until Tuesday. If the effects of the viruses prove necessary i may have to main that titan.

In one of the descriptions on the OWL Sector page, it says that all guardians, even the "inactive" ones, will be infected within the next 5 days (I think). That was yesterday that I saw that. So, I'm guessing by Tuesday, everyone will have all 5. Even the alts that you didn't use. I could be wrong, but that's what I took from that description. So, I'm not trying to get all 5 since I'm guessing that by Tuesday everybody will have all 5 on all of their characters regardless.

Definitely a possibility that it will affect us negatively on day 1. Like being quarantined from the tower and reef so we can't do mass faction and engram turn ins. But in all reality I suspect it won't be that huge of a bad thing if that's how it shakes out. Would be a bad move on bungies part to handicap a majority of their player base as a prank. And then again, the owl website warns us...

I have to disagree, there are people who don't get on these forums or Reddit and just play. They will be infected without a thought as to why or what it's about. To negatively effect someone's account would be ridiculous and possibly irresponsible on bungies part. This is probably nothing more than a side game. Kinda like 6 degrees to Kevin bacon. This guy infected that guy who infected that guy...

Mine too. Have two clean guardians and since the updated information all looks like this will turn bad soon I am glad I am not out there trying to get them all infected.

It's a good thought, but even if your alts are uninfected you won't be able to play any strikes or relayed on them at the risk of infection
