Step 1 •Get cable or fiber ISP.
Step 2 •Install ASUS A/C Router
Step 3 •Hardwire your devices with NAT 6A or higher LAN cable.
Step 4 •Disable all hardware Firewalls and employ a good Antivirus Software on your Computer(s) only.
Step 5 •Upgrade all USB transmitter cables for your Head gear.

With a firewall they'd have a good bit more trouble, but it sure does cut off the little guys from being morons. [spoiler]of course, anyone who knows what they're doing can easily bypass a firewall on a router, just those who don't know their stuff will fail [/spoiler] Know this from experience getting my router screwed to oblivion by someone who knew what they where doing.

From what I know, it's very easy to get that on xbl, according to a group of friends who moved to ps4 after being mainly Xbox players it's a good bit more common on Xbox for someone who knows how to make malicious code to get pissed

As to the router. I have Merlin backed up to an Isolated USB drive with full firmware and both factory and custum settings. ASUS is almost unbrickable. I am literally 5 minutes from a full flash with current settings at any moment.

My Xbox doesn't have any place for a virus to go as all my stuff is on a cloud, and my decives have their own anti-malware better than some factory Firewall on my Router. Router Firewalls stay the same until you update Firmware. ALL the exploits stay the same until you Update Firmware. Since the Average Firmwares are over 6 months old that means you are cutting speed for about 1 week of protection per update.
