[b]Ar stumbles slightly. And a *tink!* sound his heard.[/b]
Anne: "What was that...?"
Ar: "Who knows! Let me-"
[b]Ar looks down to find a broken string.[/b]
"Huh. I wonder what-"
[b]His sentence is interrupted by a massive spear soaring out of the wall. It flies into Ar's skull and sends him into the opposite wall. His limp dead body hanging by his broken skull.[/b]
Anne: "OH NO!"
Harken: "Holy shit!"
[b]More sounds of gears begin to turn. This isn't the end. [/b]

[b]Zane sends up an ice wall in front of them.[/b] "God DAMNIT! What the hell was that?!"

"Trap. Stupid mortals and their confidence." *Shadow sends another pulse down the corridor, hoping to find any more anomalies down the hallway*

"Anne, I take it you didn't know about the traps?"

*Shadow continues walking on the ceiling down the hallway* "It is a trap. Get you head in the game."

"No...it looks like some sort of device." Eric: "Then it's probably a trap." [b]A pale shade walks forward[/b] "Allow me to test. I can deem what it does." >Let the pale shade test it. >Do not.

"Alright, maybe try walking on the concrete between the tiles?"

"That would make sense." [b]The lizard man of the Arpat tribe walks up.[/b] Ra'shul: "I think I've sssssseen this in a movie before." Anne: "alright everyone. Walk across the floor. CAREFULLY. Don't step on the diamonds!" [b]Anne takes the first step. And the concrete is safe to walk on. The group begins to walk across.[/b]

*Shadow, looking back, sets small shields over the plates that are marked, preventing them from being stepped on* "Hmph. Think cleverer, not harder."

[b]He follows, keeping an eye out for more traps.[/b]

[b]Zane reaches the end. Along with shadow, Anne, the Arpat tribe and others. But, the Knights of Gwynn are bulky. And the dozen that are there clumsily was across the platform. One steps on a plate.[/b]

[b]He quickly envelopes them in an ice sphere, hoping to protect them[/b]

[b]The Knights are protected. But the spears fly through the walls and crash into it. As soon as it breaks the Knights spent across past the platform, only one being victim to a spear.[/b] Anne: "Well that could've gone worse...." [b]The stair case behind the infiltration team beckons.[/b]

"Yeah, a lot worse." [b]He goes to the staircase.[/b]

"Well, here goes nothing." [b]He slowly opens the hatch, looking around.[/b]

[b]All He sees is red. It doesn't help that there is likely a rug on top.[/b] Anne: "Need help lifting that?"

"Yeah, that would be awesome."

[b]Anne stands beside Zane and lifts the rug. As they push it to the side and climb up, they are in a circular room. There is a large bed with royal blue sheets. There is a picture on the wall of two people and a child. The room itself seems well Decorated but poorly lit. Cobwebs line the ceiling and dust rests upon the furniture. There is a large door connected to the room.[/b] "This must be his room..." >Investigate the picture >look around the room >exit the room

[b]He goes over to the picture, observing it. [/b]

[b]Zane sees Falk. A smile crossing his face. Though it seems forced. Whether it means he's sad, or he just doesn't like Pictures, is up to the beholder. In front of him is a small child. A toddler. It's skin, blue. Just like its fathers. It has a big smile on its face. Beside Falk the picture seems to be torn. But the body of a woman seems to stand beside him, the tear going across where her head should be. Zane notices her hands are in the picture. They two, are blue. [/b]

[b][u]Hm, maybe his wife?[/u][/b] [b]He steps away and looks around the room.[/b]

[b]The room is like a dome. There is a window at the side, and Zane can see the battle raging. The room has been kept neat and tidy. Like someone is trying to keep it that way.[/b]

[b][u]Wonder who's been taking care of the place.[/u][/b] "Hey Anne, who took care of you while your father was gone?"
