Be 335 and not get 335 gear?
It's pretty ridiculous that at 335 level, decrypting exotics sometimes (let's be honest, most of the time) gives you 334 gear as if the cryptarch is cutting corners on his job.
Personally it took me a long time (just after year one ended till about a month ago) to get to 335 and I've played for a cumulative of 10 days on my first 335 character so yeah, that bothers me

1 RispondiThe system gently pushes you towards 335. Playing as a 335 will result in your drops being determined by rng...without the gentle push towards being 335. Play as a 334. Get more 335 drops.

Lower your LL, or simply infuse the gear you want to 335, it doesn't make a huge difference except for showing off

Drop your light level. Equip a 334 ghost etc. Yeah I get it, you're 335, you want to show it off etc. I mean, who wouldn't? But I've found that dropping your light level just a little bit can help in getting 335 gear. Same goes for the IB. I'm 335 on all 3 characters. Do I play as 335 during the IB? Hell no..
