Is anyone else inconsistent as hell? Lol
Okay look I'm not a pvp god or anything. Hella average. BUT I have games (usually in a row) where I have like 25 kills and 4 deaths. Every shot is on point. Snipes? Pssshhh hitting like a shotgun main claims snipers hit. All I can think is hot diggty damn I'm -blam!-ing killing this game. Then for about 10 games in a row i may scrape by with a crispy .10 KD. Trials? Trials? Shoot I'll smack people with 2200 Elos and then lose to people with 1400 Elos.. Blows my mind how inconsistent I am and it's absolutely nerve racking. Lol. Any one else feel my pain?

I played 17 games today of different game modes. I can not count how many times I spawned into another super. How many times I ran into lagging bastards. How many times (while playing rift) some idiot on my team takes the spark and wastes it by running straight into the other team with no thought at all. My all time k/d on my titan this afternoon was lowered by 0.25. I endured all of this bullcrap. Wanna know how many times I won out of those 17 matches? 4 (I think). 4. F***ing 4. Some games I'll get 10+ k/ds. My worst k/d today was 0.23 (I know, it's embarrassing). Just goes to show how variable crucible is. [spoiler][/spoiler]Still no good party crasher

I've been on this humiliating roundabout so many times. I've even got to the stage (in the same series of matches within the same hour) of going from 0.3KD to 4.5KD and beginning to feel bad for the opposition because I'm just wiping them out without thinking. I'm not talking about pub stomping either. Same lobby, same players, same skill levels, even the same rotation of maps; particularly in Iron Banner. I feel sorry for them experiencing the same demoralizing story I've just had for the last five games and back off. I then curse myself for thinking this way the next game, and subsequent ones, as I get fisted, zapped, hammered, CT-Douched, head-shot through walls, one-shot from that blue Suros AR that follows me through every match, usually by Indestructible Teleporting Titans with the same GT's 'xxxNumNutzzz97389xxx,' 'Architects' or 'Environment' and barely make 0.5KD!! As for Trials! Ha ha! Decided I didn't need a DoP or Scarab as I was kicked to orbit for the upteenth time, only to persevere and return to get thrashed 1v3...Usually they stop their shenanigans briefly to allow me to heroically wipe their team, to make the score look respectable, only for them to fire up the lag-switches again when they decide to stop feeling charitable and send me the inevitable follow-up comments like 'You shouldn't play Destiny, go and kill yourself you f***ing loser, after uninstalling the game!' or 'You're (sic) mother should have flushed you down the toilet yur so bad!' Or something similarly helpful but poorly written, in hieroglyphics, by someone called '#KillaDave@squaddie PTSD' with an amputated limb as an avatar. Ah, Destiny PvP, what fun! That's my comfort zone: tortured and reliably variable!

I believe Bungie handicaps you for a little while on top of SBMM. When I'm handicapped, I notice at the beginning of the match and just hang back and practice 1v1 engagements at a distance. Preserves KD, and prevents kills from going to the other team. However, there are times when negative KD just can't be avoided aka bad luck games.

Sounds like me all the time. Some games I'm a absolute god dark horse going around shutting people down and locking people out (control game main), and other days the game treats me like a 9001 elo motherfcuker and pairs me up with the 200 elo guys and expects me to drag the game...

Same here can go 1.5+ then I will get dropped into a game halfway through and the next few games are 0.5 if I'm lucky.

I say mediocre because Bungie manipulates how well or bad you'll do. Pay close attention to how you're getting your 1v1 kills with primaries. Use the same primary weapon for one week in normal Crucible. By the end of that week you'll be able to tell how well or how bad you'll do within the first minute of the match. You will start to notice those matches with 25 kills/4 deaths with say a scout rifle are 3 body shot kills or 2 body + 1 headshot. At the other end where you do horrible you'll see 8 shots only causing 50-75% damage with that same scout rifle. There's also a middle ground. That match you get a 0.9 to 1.3 k/d. The game seems to be working like it's supposed to. No 3 bodyshot kill, it now requires a fourth bodyshot. From my experience, those are the most fun matches (the lead constantly flips) that win or lose it finishes with a 1000 point or less difference........ And you just want to play that team again.

By then I could barely get a 1.0 kd and almost every single game was on a losing team. Once I finished the questline, I was doing pretty average again. I hate Bungie's matchmaking almost as much as I hate the combined taste of orange juice and toothpaste.

Also every single one of my random winning teams is broken up and I get put into a death spiral of half-finished, lag-infested, 4v6 or 1/2v3 games. Wtf!?

My inconsistency in PVP depends on how many hunters are on the other team. If there is 1 or 2 of them then I do fine. More than 2 then the match gets lopsided because Hunters = Easy mode.

No tin foil hat here but it's the game playing you! I know within 30 seconds of the start of a Crucible game how I'm going to finish. If my shots are landing and doing damage I'm good, if my shots are landing and doing nothing (far more frequent) only for me to get one-shot from behind cover, I know this is going to be a long few minutes.

1 RispondiOne word: CONNECTION. Same happens to me and it's all connection. I go from 29 kills and a 4.6 kd to 7 kills and a .4 kd in the blink of an eye!!! I'm done!! See you in sept!!! Till then I will be exploring the universe!!! ;)

Yep. My last 11 games i was struggling to get over 0.5 kd. One game in those 11 I came out with nearly a 4 kd ... wtf

Yeah, some games I get MLG snipes and my grim citizen outguns last words, other games I get killed by blueberries using a green scout rifle
