lets you recover a bit. trust me you have to take cover with a hand cannon going against a autorifle. oh btw doctorine and soul steelers claw have faster times to kill then hand cannons. there is a stagger effect also!!! by taking cover you slow down the fight and it throws the auto rifle user off.
