Hundreds Gather At Midnight To Catch A Vaporeon
A Vaporeon spawned in Central Park, New York City, and literally hundreds of people flooded the park hoping to catch it. I've never seen such mass craze over a game. It's both cool and hilarious.

2 RisposteMind explaining why it was such a big deal? You can just evolve an eevee into it. Would the CP be higher catching one instead of evolving? Or was it just the rarity of the spawn that got people running for it?
