Exotics aren't meant to be the god tier items that everyone needs to use. They are supposed to be something that enhances a certain play style, not makes a play style. This was one of year 1's biggest problems. Weapons like Gjallarhorn, Thorn, and last word created play styles. They were (for lack of better words) crutch weapons that people relied on. You should not need to rely on exotics. They should be there only to enhance your play style.
