Earth has an awesome magnetic shield because we have one of the highest ratio of density relationship between planet and moon. Our moon is made of the same iron nickel the Earth is. (Long Story as why this is). The moon and earth's magnetic and gravity fields work on each other in such a way as to keep a strong magnetic field. Maybe Destiny's Venus has an artificial satellite to smdo this task.
