So the trash roll version of your favorite weapons aren't useless and dismantled right away. This makes it so you also have to grind for your perfect roll (or get extremely lucky) and you can't constantly keep rolling like there's no tomorrow. Finally, a reason to use marks? Yes, please. Also it makes buying faction, crucible and vanguard weapons actually viable. Get the weapon you want to perfect and you can reroll it a handful of times a week from rebuying it and using it as reroll fuel. That God roll actually becomes something you worked for and becomes something special.
