Regarding the content:
I thought Destiny Vanilla's story missions were bland and repetitive. The Division somehow made missions more boring.
Every mission is go to this place and either collect x, defend x, or rescue x. The bosses make Destiny's bosses look like the most complex bosses ever made. Every boss is just a regular enemy with much more health and damage output. The only one different is the final boss, a helicopter, that was still super boring to fight.
But, even the missions are nowhere near the blandness of the side missions. Sure, some of them are quite interesting, specifically the missing person ones. Every other one, however, never changes. They are more bland and boring versions of the regular missions.
So, sure, you might have a LOT of missions to go through, but it's the same exact things every time. This isn't a defense of Destiny, either. Both games had almost the exact same problems at launch, but Massive should have known better and learned from Destiny's mistakes.
