I'd actually say the division learned from destiny. Ubisoft had time to look at what destiny did, and make it (in some folks' opinion) better.
Destiny still did it first, and props to Bungie for being the first to do it. Couldn't have been easy to pioneer a new type of game. Other companies can look at what the players want most, and make changes. Bungie did it from scratch.

Ya I don't see that... They learned nothing from the Destiny, they stole the gear model/ reroling concept from Diablo 3.

Every modern game borrows ideas and mechanics from other games at this point.
