I bought the division 2 days ago and to be honest mate, its a decent game but nowhere near as good as destiny in terms of gun play and mechanics. And walking new york city from one end to the other is no fun at all. They should of added some sort of quick travel without the everywhere being locked until you discover it.
I'm bored of destiny at the minute and even I can see that it's still a top end game for new players and most of the older players will always come back for a new dlc.

There is something called fast travel in the division

A good trick I used back before I unlocked a majority of the safehouses to fast travel to is to use matchmaking to jump me into a area I couldn't fast travel to just yet, and then once loaded in, I would just walk off the mission to the closest safehouse.
