Well, I'd rather have the content back than not have it back. If saying thank you will get me my content back, then I'll say thank you.
We are getting new content too, for free (if you own TTK). Should we say thank you for that, or are we stupid? Should we be angry that we have more things to do after the update?

No, you should be angry that they abandoned this game for 7 months and lied to the community multiple times.
