Spoken like someone who really hasn't played the game.
Two thousand hours in Destiny. Approaching 100 in The Division.
Ubisoft had created the kind of open world RPG shooter that a lot of Destiny PVE players wanted Destiny to grow into.
The Division doesn't beat Destiny as a shooter. But as an RPG, it's wiping the floor with Destiny right now,

Probably because Destiny never intended to focus on RPG much? Btw, The Division isn't really an RPG either. Both games have RPG elements - just like pretty much every game nowadays has some RPG elemtents in it. Division is certainly more focused on RPG than Destiny is, at least from a skill/talent point of view. That doesn't make it a true RPG though.

The Division is an Action RPG in the vein of games like Borderlands and Diablo 3. So is Destiny. It's just not a very good one.

To the point that several accused me of being paid "plant" on this forum, working for Bungie. Bottom line: If you refuse to jump on some people's "hate train".....they'll call you names. Dude, I have asked you on three separate occasions to either lighten up or smile....... take the advice. It's a little bit of ball busting over a VIDEO GAME. I like the Division, I like destiny, I actually agree with most of what your saying, there, happy? Do you need someone to post a picture of Eyore the Donkey from Winnie the Pooh or something?

Had couple of those that were actually pretty funny in their own way.....come to think of it. Humor is a lot like music. Tastes vary. It's all about rhythm, timing, tension, release and playing with expectations that the listener didn't really know they had. ...and not everyone has a talent for it.

I'm beginning to think you're either so invested in The Division that you take every criticism as a personal attack, or you truly don't understand sarcasm, irony, or satire. Humor requires certain cues that are absent in this setting. Besides, this place is rife with unfair criticism of the game, which benefits nothing and no one. There is a lot of things that Ubisoft put into The Division that Bungie could learn from and make Destiny such better RPG. Bad mouthing The Division won't make Destiny better, or people less frustrated with it.
