Bungie really could learn a lot from the division. The game has been fun as hell. I wasn't going to get it, watching videos didn't make it look fun at all. But, I got bored one day and said screw it. I bought it and haven't stopped playing it. I leveled up to 30 in 4 days and had a blast every step of the way. The match making in this game is the best I ever seen in a game. Its smoother then anything I ever played. I ran into a friend at the base, I clicked on join group and instantly I was in his group. I didn't have to go to orbit and load back in. There was no loading screen. It was instant. Once I got to 30, a bunch of new stuff unlocked. I done a challenge yesterday and when you beat it, its guaranteed to drop an exotic. Multiple exotics can be worn at the same time. I could go on and on. But, instead. I am going to hop on the game now. If you haven't picked it up yet. You are missing out. Its like an advanced modern red dead redemption.

its even more repetitive than Destiny imo. All you do is kill enemies and then a guy with too much health appears. Wearing multiple exotics takes away the idea of 'Exotic', it has to be special. Every area looks kind of the same. Its a fun game. But not a Destiny killer. And the matchmaking isn't skillbased. I was trying to do a lvl 16 mission and i kept joining level 7-8 lobbies. Its fun but thats it.

  • Nothing can be more repetitive than the same six strikes over and over again. I love Destiny, but calling The Division "repetitive" by comparison is total bullshit.

Almost every area in the Division looks the same, missions are the same and getting 'High-end' weapons doesn't feel special. Destiny at least has some different area's and missions at least have variety in them. Also Exotics in this game have something Exotic to it.

  • Uhm how is the division any different? Endgame is just doing the same story missions on a harder difficulty. And there's no way any incursion can be better than a raid

  • At least there are far more of them, and we'll be getting new ones at a rate of one/month if you are a DLC subscriber. Side quests are also randomly generated, making the playing area feel much more organic than Destiny patrols. Again, I love Destiny, in the strictest sense they are very different games, but I think it's foolish to discount things The Division did right on the RPG side just because you prefer the gun mechanics of Destiny. Main thing I like is gear is mostly progressive, you don't get screwed by the RNG. Destiny, on the other hand, constantly punishes you with low light rewards after you hit 310, and relies on an addictive mechanic to keep you wanting that one piece of gear (for me, it's currently the "Does Not Bow" strike-specific AR). I also find the AI in Destiny terrible compared to The Division; every good player knows the paths each AI will take, and where they will come from in Destiny Strikes. The AI in The Division is fluid and tries to flank you so you can't find cover. Like I said, I love Destiny (look at my hours), but I'm not going to fanboy out and blindly say there is nothing Bungie can learn from The Division either.
