Firstly, I just finished making my first montage. I spent a lot of time working on it so I would appreciate any feedback (good or bad). Secondly, I thought I would share my general philosophy about making a montage and hitting those sick clips. Before I get into it I wanted to make it clear these are by no means fact and just an opinion of a longtime gamer (who spends way too much time playing FPS games). Lets get to it: 1. The whole idea of what makes a "montage clip" is subjective. You don't need to compare yourself to tripleWRECK. If you think the kill you just got is awesome then don't tell yourself it wasn't because tripleWRECK hits that on the daily. 2. Be Patient. Hitting a montage worthy clip doesn't come often. You just have to play a lot. 3. Be willing to sacrifice your stats at the cost of trying to hit a clip. Like I said before, clips don't come easy. You have to be willing to put yourself in situations where you dying is almost inevitable. 4. Understand that there is a time and a place to go for clips. If your Trials game is tied 4-4 and your the last guardian standing... just go for the revive. Often times that W is more important. Plus your teammates will probably thank you. 5. Practice a lot... like a lot. If you are trying to hit a sniper multi kill then don't keep equipping your shotgun. Keep your sniper out and make a conscious effort to use it and get better with it. 6. Be smart. Understand that your positioning on a map will help a boat load when trying to hit some clips. If the enemy team has to go through a choke point to get to that B flag then you best be hard scoping the crap out of that lane. 7. Have a little gun skill. This obviously comes with practice, but having some gun skill will take you far. Gun skill can get you that improbable last kill for the team wipe in Trials even though you're absolute. 8. A small amount of luck. There is no sure fire way to hit a no scope you just have to get a little lucky. 9. There is no substitute for play time you just have to grind. 10. Rinse and repeat!
