Need help with the undying mind I don't know what to do 330 light Xbone - [b]Unitedstryker[/b]

strange thing happened when I completed the undying mind. It connected me solo and I had to basically fight from cover and use the dragon's breath rocket launcher against the mind and the red death against the vex minions. Plus a lot of crazy jumping and flying around and running away when outnumbered. Took about seven times and some heavy weapon packs to complete. Then I didn't even get the "essence. Maybe a glitch but nonetheless. I was able to complete it myself with the two weapons mentioned. Warlock using sunsinger with the Boolean Gemini scout rifle at 294 and the Dragon Breath at 310 light. A bit disappointed, and I am not sure if I want to try it soon again because the only reason I went into a heroic strike by myself is to get the essence the your supposed to get for hunger pangs.
