I've really heard enough of this crap about Bungie not liking solo players, and Bungie providing "crappy" rewards for their "crappy" events. I think it's time someone stood by Bungie and said enough is enough.
I mean, c'mon guys, be reasonable. There is no conspiracy against any players. And Bungie is not just doing some elaborate cash grab while burning their fan base! How come these events cost as much to develop as a full blown DLC? Easy - it's public knowledge that Bungie just likes keeping their graphic designer's busy with new ways to dress up the tower. They just don't want to lose some really talented individuals who are capable of adding so much to the game. I mean, rose petals around Valentine's Day, simply genius! Pumpkins on Halloween, inspired. And don't get me started on those shaders. Picking color combinations is art form - and art takes time. And all that time costs money. From the numbers I've seen, Bungie needs to sell over 200,000 legendary emotes just to cover development for 1 event. Realistically though, in this economy, a million dollars doesn't go very far.
And even if you are right - even if they are greedy bastards who want to keep all that emote money, not make a DLC, and delay Destiny 2 into 2017. Tell me this hot shot, how would making it harder to play in the event help them? How would having (another) game type without match making fit into their evil plan? What, you think they realized they could make a crappy event and then make it hard to play? Especially if you only had 15 minutes to play before work or class. C'mon, get real - this is Bungie we're talking about. They have enough trouble walking and chewing gum without choking. Let's just chalk this one up to good old fashion incompetence. You know, the Bungie way.
