Not true, our debt is owed to the federal reserve, fiat money is broken and fails 100% of the time, look up how many dollars the US gov't has to pay the federal reserve back when they borrow only $1 dollar from the federal reserve.

Technically we don't own the federal reserve, it's a private institution that the US government gets money from as a loan. It's the central bank scam, they control the money so they own us, hence why we owe $18trillion
