That's not how the averaging of kill death ratios works. If we were playing 1v1 and I had 2 kills and 1 death and you had 1 kill and 2 deaths then our k/ds would be 2.0 and 0.5. The average of those two ratios is 1.25. Not 1.0. The overall k/d of the entire community combined will always be below 1.0, but the average of individual k/ds does not follow that at all. Do people even math? Or are you all just idiots?
