I could care less if it was extended. No point in waiting till the last minute for the xp bonus. You get damn near just as good a bonus on Saturday and Sunday. Assuming you get one character to 5 by Friday. You can easily level your other 2 characters to 5 in roughly 2 hours on Saturday or Sunday.

Well lesson learned I guess. This tho never happened before and I was rather spending the "hours" somewhere else then playing Destiny since it was my last weekend before work starts in full glory. Why not save time when the game mechanics allow me to? Had the three weekly IB bounties ready to turn in on the last day like usual which would get me from rank 3 to rank 5 in a few seconds. Dont really care tbh... Its just a bummer I lost the chance of a rank 5 pack.
