[i]Light ,always a consumate actress when it comes to disguising her true feelings, smiles gratefully[/i]

"Thank Lance hon. He's the one who let me cut him up for them. I get off on that sort of thing." [i] She chuckles and Winks at Light.[/i] "Have a good dinner hon." [i] she vanishes in a cloud of red mist.[/i]

[i] Light is stunned into silence, she swallows hard blinking back the prickling in her eyes. She smiles at Lance , hiding her despair, desperate to get out of here as quickly. They sit down to eat, she can't , she just moves the food around her plate with her con artists smile, she usually reserved for marks. She feels wretched knowing he did that for her , she stops looking at the food as she feels bile rise in her stomach. [/i]

"I shouldn't have let you know what I did for this." [i] He says quietly. [/i]

"Come on. Let's leave." [i] He stands up and makes a motion for her hand.[/i]

[i] She wants to feel relieved,instead she feels guilt ridden. He's done it all for nothing . She tries to blink the tears away, staring at the floor she takes his hand her breath shaking[/i]

[i] He takes her hand and they're teleported to his ship, into his bedroom. He wraps her in a hug and holds her.[/i]

[i] She leans into him,afraid to touch him, incase she hurts him, burying here face in the crook of his neck, her body shakes . She keeps her eyes closed to her tears, [/i]

"It's okay Light." [i]He holds her tighter to him.[/i]

[i]She doesn't say anything still leaning into him, shaking lightly,[/i]

[i] He continues to hold her, walking over to his bed and sitting down. He takes her arms and wraps them around his back, not flinching and nuzzling his face in her hair.[/i]

"Light." [i] He puts his fingers under her chin and tilts her face up to look at him.[/i]

[i] She doesn't fight him but she keeps her eyes cast down[/i]

[i] He sees the edge of her eyes, the tears threatening to spill over.[/i] "Light, why are you crying?" [i]He asks quietly.[/i]

[i]She just looks at him, unsure what to say or how to say it .[/i] " I know you care....just please don't...you don't have to prove anything. I can't even find words to describe how much that hurt me, or how bad it feels knowing you didnt mean it, ..... [i] Her words trail off[/i]

[i] He holds her tighter.[/i] "If it's any consolation babe, it wasn't the worst that's ever been done to me." [i] He says with a chuckle.[/i] "I'm sorry."

[i] Her body shudders s little as she quietly cries,leaning into him. [/i]

"It's alright Light." [i] He says soothingly, stroking her back.[/i]

[i] Light settles after a while she eventual sits up she looks exhausted and broken, she looks at him and tries to reassure him with a smiles, but she is sure it probably looked as painful as it felt.[/i] " I'm tired hon, can we please just go to bed, ...might it be better if I went to my bit incase I hurt you."

[i] He shakes his head.[/i] "You won't hon. I want you in here anyway." [i]He gives her a reassuring smile.[/i]

[i]Nodding sbe tries to smile,but is pretty sure it looks a painful as it feels so she stops . She goes into the bathroom,[/i] " Can I borrow a t-shirt , I didn't bring anything to sleep in.?" [i]she calls through.[/i]

"Of course." [i] He goes into his closet and grabs one of the many black t-shirts he owns and walks over to the bathroom, reaching through the gap in the doorframe and holding the t-shirt out, respecting her privacy.[/i]

" thanks" [i] She takes it, appreciating him not just walking in, after a couple of minutes she pads through wearing his tzhirt as a nightshirt,putting her folded up clothes on an available chair. She then climbs into bed sliding between the cool sheets ,laying her head on the pillow. .[/i]

[i] He takes his shirt off leaving him in his jeans, his scarred body on display, minus the slashes on his back. They've seem to have dissapeared. He crawls in next to her, sliding on the black silk sheets and laying down next to her on his side, resting an arm across her stomach and resting his face next to hers.[/i]
