[b]Raidriar runs in, red cloak swaying behind him. His mask tilts a little bit as the realization of who is standing before him. He's surprised, shocked even. His puts his hands on his mask as he straitens it. He couldn't believe it. He was back. He opens his mouth to speak, but nothing comes out. He pulls his hood back, his hair messy from wearing it all day.[/b]
[i]He's actually here...[/i]
[b]He is simply so surprised he cannot even speak. After a minute or two he finally gets out.[/b]
"Damien... You slick bastard. I thought you were dead."

[b]Damien shrugs.[/b] [i]"I still have nine lives..."[/i] [b]He pries Anumi off of himself.[/b] [i]"You are standing under a sprinkler..."[/i] [b]Damien points to the water pouring out of the sprinkler above head.[/b]

"I do not really care. Damien... God damn it's been a long time. It's real nice to see you. I see you got Caldon. Saw the whole thing play out in the Hangar Bay. How much stronger did you get?"

[i]"Strong enough to learn how to pry my tongue off a flag pole..."[/i] [b]Oh yeah... This was Damien. Weird as hell.[/b] [i]"I believe hugs are in order..."[/i] [b]Damien walks forward with outstretched arms.[/b]

"You better believe it." [b]He hugs him, it's good to have Damien back.[/b]

[i]"So... How goes Riardriar? The man with a sword as big as his main blood pumping vessel?"[/i]

"Well, I'm the co-leader of the DM now. I also can no longer age. How have you been doin'?"

[i]"Tortured and severely damaged..."[/i] [b]Its hard to tell if he is joking or not with the bizarre grin still plastered on his face. But something tells Riardriar that Damien is serious.[/b]

"Damn. That sucks. Anyways, I'll bet you're looking for Lucien, right?"

[i]"You are perceptive beyond core mechanics..."[/i] [b]Damien tilts his head in his normal fashion.[/b] [i]"Do you know where he resides?"[/i]

"I know where his room is, but he might not be there."

[i]"I know he's not on the ship... Caldon must have him..."[/i] [b]Damien sighs.[/b] [i]"I'll retrieve him later. For now, I want to settle down."[/i]

"You can have a room on my ship. You know, the big-ass one in the Hangar?"

[b]Damien shakes his head.[/b] [i][u]"I'll take my brother's place. It's more associated with my flesh. No offense, dear allocated friend."[/u][/i]

"Trust me, that's probably the least offensive thing you could've said. It makes sense you want to stay in Lucien's room."

[i]"Very well..."[/i] [b]Anumi walks over, her hands busied with Damien's mask. She hands it to him and he places it on his face, obscuring his smile.[/b] [i]"Your trip her must have been a toll as well. The FN is it? It appears many people from all walks of life have come to reciprocate hope in such a secluded area."[/i]

[i]"Ah. Well, perhaps you got more than you had bartered for, hm?"[/i] [b]Damien chuckles.[/b] [i]"You emanate with long sealed strength. Have you been training with the finer points of paratude?" [/i]

"I've picked up a few powers along my travels... Some I rather regret getting."

[i]"Ah... I killed myself in order to hide some of my own... Though, I don't enjoy bordering on powerful. I wish I was human... Sometimes."[/i]

"I wish I could just kill myself and make some of these powers go away... I've killed quadrillions, Damien. Quadrillions."

[i]"And? Your story shouldn't be burdened by their pain. In my time with death, I learned two simple truths. You cannot allow yourself to feel pain and you cannot allow yourself to descend into love. I have conquered both. Now, I am beyond my own understanding."[/i] [b]Damien's words are cold and wretched, like the truth behind them has tainted his view.[/b]

"I cannot agree with that, Damien. Pain is essential to survival. If you do not feel pain, when do you realize when you are in trouble? If you cannot love, what is the point in life?"

[i]"To each his own. I feel I am a better being because of this."[/i] [b]He dusts himself off. He readjusts his mask and gives a quiet sigh.[/b] [i]"I still love... I still love you... And Sawyer... My brother... Anumi. Everyone. But I have learned that hating myself has brought me one steps closer to the truth."[/i]

"Trust me, I hate myself lots. If that's what you meant by not loving, then I think I'm there."
