Not to comment on you specifically but I find Destiny very interesting as a social experiment. That it would bring someone so much joy and satisfaction for achieving so little. If I ever find myself falling into this mind set I often just take a step back and mentally put the game into context with the wider world and the things that are really important in my life. Then I put the controller down and chuckle to myself about how ridiculously insular our Destiny culture is.
