During HoW my team and I would do this, but you were only allowed to use melee, Vestian dynasty (I guess any sidearm would work now) and No Land Beyond. Called it "Firing squad." Try and hold a firing line as long as possible with just NLB, and once you started being overrun you switched to sidearms or if you didn't have any, shotguns to regain ground and reform the line. Had to cooperate because you were screwed if you all had to reload at the same time.
