It's not utterly and entirely untrue what he's saying. There is skill that is required to run a shotgun. You do need to have good map awareness due to the fact that there are a lot of good lines of sight for snipers and good long ranged scouts or pulses. You also do have to have good timing and prepare some of your shots, just as with a sniper, because a lot of the shotguns that reign supreme on the field have ATROCIOUS fire rates that cause the users to get brutally -blam!-ed if they miss their first shot. The whole argument about snipers and shotguns is like star wars to start trek. They're both different -blam!-ing weapons. They actually couldn't be ANYMORE on opposite ends of the spectrum.
