Anytime the platforms were not there it was due to someone dying, getting of the plate early or standing on the very edge. Don't recall ever falling through without someone owning up to a mistake.

"... where platforms don't appear [b]even though the sparks do[/b]... " Even when the first person gets on, the sparks appear, but the platforms don't. That's a glitch, not someone's mistake.

Never seen the platforms misbehave without human error.
