Does anyone find it ironic that all of this happened on Firday, 13th. The same day that the French king killed all of Muslim Templars and pretty much ended the 10 Year war. Which caused this day, Friday the 13th,to be a day of bad luck.

Not Muslim Templars. The Templars had too much power, so it was mainly political. He accused them of defiling holy objects, practicing homosexuality and worshipping the idol Baphomet.

It'd also put the "why" in where they're attacking. If they wanted to cripple Europe, wouldn't they hit Germany?
