I don't see a real problem of timegating. Nor does it break any rational morals that I can think of.
Once more, I don't know where they advertised 18 exotics?

The statement "half dozen new exotic armors for each class", 6x3=18. They also showed up in various gameplay trailers (advertisement). This post isn't specifically about timegating, it's about timegating without warning and complete non communication with customers. I wouldn't have an issue if Bungie had told us that HALF of the exotic armors advertised would be released at a time other than launch. They wouldn't have even had to be specific. However, complete silence on the matter turns this simple (albeit kind of pathetic) business practice into false advertisement through lying by omission.
