I like this, and your bias isn't a flaw. It's a valid expression of the sentiment we feel. I like how they brought back VoG for the "No Time To Explain" quest chain. More of this would be nice. An improvement would be to allow us to "discover" an alternate way in do we can just fight Atheon, but then make him "on level" rather than dying so quickly. Also, you could really do something with glass needles and exotic shards by making it so they update old gear to Year 2 status (not exotic, just legendaries). Of course, I think it would be awesome to see something like this done with the blue gear too. Create story line quests for the blue sets. Then during those quests you need to obtain specific elements from the quests, etc. And then use glass needles to craft the blue pieces into legendary gear.
