The problem with the high aim assist is it's our only help in beating scumbags who use keyboard and mouse. They have a substantial edge over everyone who uses a controller and if both of you are sniping each other you have a chance of winning because of aim assist (they use snipers with low aim assist) iff they removed it you will lose every sniper encounter. Btw alot of people use keyboard and mouse.
