There truly isn't anything worse than finishing a boss and finding the only purple engram has shards in it. It takes the fun out of it when you don't know if you'll get anything at all, much less something that's better than what you already have. Hell, I still can't get a ghost past 304 thanks to the RNG in this raid and we've opened the door to the Warpriest multiple times a week since release. I just want something for my time, even if it's not necessarily better than my top equipment. I could at least infuse into something else possibly. Right now, it's gamble as to if my time will be rewarded at all or if I've just lost 1-2hrs. Disappointing.
