I agree with most of this but to an extent. Run 3 different characters and improve your odds of getting loot and/or guns that increase your light level that can also be used between all 3. It's grinding and that's the only way you are going to get what you want eventually. Bungie makes a solid stand in that Noone should be carried through a raid a couple of times and get the same rewards for those that put in the work repeatedly, especially when they already beat it before the reset and are just offering to help others out. I inspected a lot of the people that responded to this post and there wasn't many that had multiple completions or characters to run with. Put in the work and eventually we get rewarded. If it was an easy grind then what would be the point? Everyone expects something but Noone wants to grind. It is what it is and that won't change. Most of the people that complain on here don't take the time to help other people unless it benefits them.
