The base light level of weapon and armor drops have been massively upgraded. I've seen lots of 300+ weapons, armor, and ghosts. Before patch, most things dropped in the 280s. If you don't see that as improvement, you're delusional.

But yeah, I e seen multiple 300+ ghosts (one at 309), multiple weapons at 300+ (including a sick 304 last extremity). That was one of the things they said they were doing. They raised the average light level drop by 10, if I remember correctly from the patch notes. In my experience though, it's been even more than that.
