Yep, after reading a lot of this, I've made a decision to never even try a raid. It would be way too stressful for me; I hate getting yelled at and I know that I will suck and suck some more for a while.
Not blaming this decision on anyone, it's my issue, but I wish it wasn't like that.

I've never done a raid where anyone was yelled at for being new to it (unless they lie and say they've done it despite everyone asking and saying it's fine if they need it explained.) Just avoid the lfg posts that require the maximum light level and be okay with only getting up to oryx until you get past 310.

Staying only makes it worse. You'll know if it's a bad team pretty quickly, these raids have simple opening encounters that are good at revealing a team's dynamic.

There are lots of good people in the forum, get yourself some decent light to hold yourself up okay in a raid and jump in. The only reason why I play still is because I enjoy the puzzles with teamwork

I never raided until right before TTK dropped. A coworker that I did not know found out that I played. He got me into raiding with LFG. My first raid was VoG. Since then it was one Crota and two Oryx. We got sone pretty decent folk. Nobody is a jerk and we have a good time. I suck, they all know it, and yet it's all fun.
