Is there any particular reason you guys (Bungie) didn't award a shader for hard mode as you did with Crota? It's not the biggest deal in the world but it feels a bit slack. Most of my crew, including myself, as well as other crews I helped out over the weekend, were a little underwhelmed by the drops for first time completion, and it seems a lot of other players have been underwhelmed too, going off what I've read on the boards. I get people are always bitching on the boards but I can see where they're coming from on this. I think it's great that there's a guaranteed loot drop for Oryx CP on hard, however, I don't think anyone in my group got two drops, so the drop rate for getting two loot drops is either really low or non-existent. Maybe bump that chance up a little in general, or, rather, guarantee two loot drops for first completion, with a high chance for a third loot drop, and then guarantee one loot drop on all subsequent completions, with a high chance for a second loot drop. Also, maybe in future, make it a thing to [i]always[/i] carry on with the trend of Crota by awarding both an emblem [i]and a shader[/i] for completing the latest, highest tier raid boss in the game. Come on fellas, it's not rocket science. When a gamer completes the highest tier challenge in the game for the first time, I think you want to add to the moment and sense of achievement by lighting up the right-hand-side of their screen with many rewards, ie: Emblem Shader Guaranteed loot drop Second guaranteed loot drop - Possible third loot drop Make the gamers day, especially considering most players are going to spend hours on just on the Oryx CP nutting out the mechanics and their strat'.
