Some are OK, others aren't. I think the Black Spindle is a good application of the time gate. It is a special event that has no prerequisites. Run it and go.
No Time to Explain and Sleeper Simulant need to explain the prerequisites when they proc. It is wrong to not explain to people why they didn't get the quest.
Sleeper Simulant 1 day wait is OK.
The First Curse 2 armsday wait is nonsensical.
