Depends on the dog as well tho, every lab I've ever owned has lived to be over 12, most dogs if well cared for and baring a freak accident can live to their teens pretty easily, exceptions usually being extremely large dogs or ones who have been ruined by breeders to make them more ascetically appealing like the English bulldog (Bernese Mountain Dogs usually only make it to around 6ish, being that large makes it hard for your body to keep itself healthy and support necessary body functions)
