I know the feeling.
I had a German shepherd as well and he had a tumor. We had to put him to sleep.
As well as my pug who went 15 years strong. Blind and couldn't walk anymore.
Put him to sleep also.
Wish dogs lived longer. Greatest and loyal pets ever.
I miss them.

Sorry to hear... It's hard to accept; death in general. When a family member dies though, I can rest easy, because they knew it was going to happen and they can accept it. I honestly don't think dogs do. And you feel guilty after the fact...
