World of Warcraft honestly isn't that great...
So this week for Game Design class we have to play World of Warcraft. In its 10+ years of existence this is the first time I've ever played this game. And you know what? It's honestly not that impressive. Sure I'm only a level 9 Orc Warrior and there is a lot of stuff I won't get to see since I'm playing the trial that lets you reach level 20. Still, I've seen nothing in this game that I can't get from Star Wars: The Old Republic, Guild Wars, or one of the many free to play MMOs.

By today's standards yeah its pretty damn mediocre. But you need to compare it to games like eq1 or UO to see why it was so revolutionary. Swtor is almost a cut and paste copy of wow...
