From this story, it sounds as if your mom is much more worried about your education and future than you are. If I were you I would listen to her. In highschool I barely played videogames cause I knew that it was wasting time. Now in college which is wayyyyyy easier imo I do have some time occasionally. If I were you, I would focus on my education and not play. Your mom doesn't seem as bad as you describe her because all she did was ground you. I think she was right in doing so, and she should take away your console. You shouldn't deceive your parents. If they are really that horrible that you have to, then deal with that problem rather than waking up and playing in the middle of the night
