The 501st Legion. An elite cadre of Clone Troopers, and later Stormtroopers, under the direct command of Jedi General Anakin Skywalker, later rechristened as Darth Vader. Initially simply a unit designation, they later went on to be involved in several key battles of both the Clone War, and the later Galactic Civil War, earning their nickname of "Vader's Fist"
