Under this reasoning, rocket launchers and nuclear weapons shouldn't be illegal, because "they aren't living things, they can't load themselves, point themselves, or pull their triggers by themselves." Do I believe banning all guns is the answer? No. But there are certain things that are inherently dangerous and that is why we have laws to regulate them.
