So I just wanna say that the matchmaking different zones might be a myth... I have seen the same randoms after following to different zones

It saves your previous zone so you can re-enter. But if you go one zone further (I.e. To a third area) it will remember your last zone and forget the first. It's also possible to have a strong matchmade connection with someone due to geography, and for you to regularly see those people.
