And Jorge's firefight voice sample says something to the effect of "You generation 3s sure do get issued some fancy armor."[/quote]During the course of the Spartan-III program, Kurt-051 and Mendez tried to save as many of their Spartans as possible once they realized they'd be sent on meat grinder missions. Spartan-III's who showed exceptional skill and promise were removed from their companies and arranged into either headhunter fireteams or full blown squads. These Spartans were given much more advanced equipment since the liklihood of them dying was lower. This is why Noble (and possibly Gauntlet and Echo) has MJOLNIR while the rest of the IIIs are stuck with SPI.
