This is such a huge letdown.. we ALL knew there was water there.. I hope they have PR people at NASA because making this amount of Hype over something we already knew will make their next announcement fall on deaf ears.

Frozen water in fundamentally different than liquid water. As far as we know life needs liquid water to survive. Up until now we thought there was only ice.

Meh, still not even remotely impressed. They already knew there was flowing water on the surface a decade ago. They just hadn't found it yet. I was really hoping for a worthwhile announcement. Something along the lines of space debris or life. Something truly shocking and amazing. Not more boring info on the status of water on Mars.

The theorized thee could be water on Mars a decade ago. Then they found frozen water. Later they found evidence on flowing water. Now they just confirmed it. The BIG thing here is now we know where to look to find life. Chances are there is life in that water.

No one has found liquid water on Mars. Only frozen which is everywhere in space
