Hawkmoon is an rng gun you cant earn it.
You put in lots of time to get it yes but thats not earning it.
Guns from quests like the touch of malice or eventually sleeper simulant are earned.
I know ill probably get hate for this but I've put in hours on hours into strikes and nightfalls to get it just like anyone else but there's no earning it, its getting lucky.
