I still have yet to do Crota. I traded in the game pre-Dark Below and am now wishing I hadn't since I feel like I've missed out on the VoG, Crota, and PoE hayday of everyone wanting to do those events

You missed out on a lot. On one hand you missed out on goodntimes, experiencing new activities, and partaking in the fun. On the other hand however, you also missed out on a lot of elitism lol.

I don't think the elitism is going to fade out any time soon. I've already seen/read/heard a lot of messages from people and their demands for the new raid, when it's only been out for a week. So apparently if you're 290+ light but if you've never done King's Fall, no one wants to pick you up :|
